Trident Players Code of Conduct

Players and Club Officials shall at all times conduct play within the spirit of the game as well within the Laws of Cricket and the captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that this is adhered to. Players and Club Officials shall at no time engage in conduct unbecoming to their status, which could bring them, Trident Sports Club or the game of cricket into disrepute.

Please respect:

  • Your opponents.

  • Your own captain and team.

  • The umpire.

  • The game’s traditional values.

By agreeing to play for Trident Sprots Club, you have also agreed to abide by the Players’ Code of Conduct, whether at training, games, official functions, or other occasions. All players must abide by the following:

  • Respect the rules of Trident Sports Club.

  • Do not argue with officials. Any disputes or complaints may only be addressed through captain or club board members and addressed via official channels.

  • Always display self-control. Verbal abuse or discrimination of officials, other players, or deliberately distracting or provoking a competitor is neither acceptable nor condoned.

  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team.

  • Recognize all good performances whether they are by your team members or others.

  • Treat all other players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take advantage of another person.

  • Co-operate with coaches, captain, vice-captain, members of the board, teammates and others.

  • Dress appropriately for training and for games.

  • Inform the captain or selection committee, if you are unavailable to a play a minimum of three (3) days prior to the scheduled game. However, unforeseen circumstance is unavoidable, please keep the captain informed.

  • Report ALL injuries to your captain or vice captain.

  • Pay all fees and subs by the due date. Failure to do so will result in players not being available.

  • Carry out reasonable instructions from captains or committee members.

  • Try to be on time or keep the teammates or captain informed on any unforeseen delay.

  • Conduct yourself at ALL TIMES in a manner that would bring credit to the club, especially when wearing uniform or other identification. Penalties may be handed out to any player who is deemed to be in breach of the Code of Conduct.

Every Player Is Expected To Make An Important Contribution To This.
